FAQs

The General Questions

Most Definitely! Our fonts are available in both Opentype Postscript (.OTF) & Truetype (.TTF) formats and are Mac/PC cross-platform compatible.

Our fonts are guaranteed to work with every version of the Macintosh OS from 7.0 on up to the latest OS X release, and all versions of Windows from 3.1 on up through Windows 10 and every Windows OS in between.

While the majority of our users can easily install and enjoy our fonts in postscript OpenType (.OTF) format, we also include them in TrueType (.TTF) format.

We highly recommend when installing any fonts on your computer to only install one font format.

Most definitely! Our fonts cover an extensive range of languages covered under Latin-1 and Latin-2 unicode glyph sets. When previewing any font page, scroll down below the font overview and you’ll find a graphic that previews the full character set of the specific font(s) you are looking at (including international characters, ligatures, alternates and whatever else might be tucked into the fonts).

Yes, thanks for asking. You’ll find all you need to know in this regard down a little further in the Licensing Questions section.

While we may seem very silly and laid back, we couldn’t take your privacy more seriously. Pink Broccoli is the sole owner of the information it gathers on its site. Pink Broccoli will not share any of your information with any outside party without your explicit consent unless we are required by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the edicts of the law, cooperate with law enforcement agencies, or comply with a legal process served on our website.

The Licensing Questions

Our pricing varies per font, but usually comes in around $14-$24 per typeface. Family or Collection bundles break down to a lower per font cost. And of course, we do run sales from time to time that can discount fonts further.

When you buy fonts from any font foundry, you’re buying the license to use the fonts on your computer. With every font or font set you purchase and download, the terms of that license (or EULA) you agree to before purchasing are also downloaded with the fonts and you can read about any restrictions on use for those fonts. You can read our entire license agreement here.

We currently only sell our fonts via outside vendor websites. On each font page on the site, you’ll find links to multiple vendors who sell our fonts. Choose your font distributor site of choice and you’ll be directed straight to the purchase page for that font.

You can easily purchase extended and additional licensing of varying types for our fonts from one of these fine distributors: MyFonts or FontSpring or FontBros.

Sorry, but no. We license our fonts directly to end-users, and they are not to be distributed to third parties that do not possess their own license to the font software. For example, if you send a printer or vendor an InDesign file, would you expect to supply them with a copy of InDesign as well…? They would be required to license the font just as you did.

No, you need a specific “server license” in a case like this, as this extends outside our default 2 cpu single user, single location license.
