OVERVIEW
Random slab serifs and letterform quirks shake up the forms of this animated typestyle.
The Chop Phooey font is inspired by “Technology, Phooey”, a 1969 Pink Panther cartoon, starring the Aardvark. It uses a common lettering style for cartoons of the time with some unique features that set it apart. From a visual fluctuation in weight, to random slab serifs popping off various letters, and the slight squaring off of some traditionally round characters, Chop Phooey is full of fun and unexpected playfulness.
